Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral massage therapists gently work the bones of the head, neck, and sacrum. Craniosacral therapy restores the natural position and alignment of bones and joints in the head and neck, alleviating pain.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is based on an understanding of the body’s own cranial rhythmic impulse which is felt through the hands of the therapist. Practitioners look to reintegrate body and mind to work as one holistic system and provide a general sense of well-being. CST can also benefit those who suffer from neck and back pain, migraines or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, where the joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull becomes inflamed.

Patients often report feelings of deep relaxation during and after the treatment session.

Craniosacral therapy may provide relief for those suffering from migraines and may be long lasting. Those that have undergone cranial sacral therapy have reported improved sleep quality and fewer migraine headaches for up to three weeks. The therapy can be added to any other form of massage therapy on request, but should be carried out by a therapist with experience in this type of light touch, non-invasive treatment.
